Daily Devotional. If ye will fear the Lord , and serve him, and obey his voice, AND NOT REBEL AGAINST THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD , then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God: 1 Samuel 12:14. Rebellion is so easy, we ALL do it. We ALL started off as goats, and some got Saved, now they are transformed into sheep ready for the slaughter. Or, if you don’t like the idea of goats miraculously being changed into sheep, how about goats will always be goats, (NEVER to come to Salvation), and lost sheep are found by Christ who now come into the fold of salvation. Either way, sheep and goats all rebel, we ALL started off as walking dead men. Only when the Holy Spirit brings Salvation to a dead man does he then come to life with a Life in Christ he’ll never let go of. When Christ calls for a lost sheep, that lost sheep KNOWS that is the voice of Good News and calls back asking Christ to save him. When goats hear the shepherd calling, they hear, but pay no attention. They don’t need a shepherd because they have been doing fine by themselves their whole life. The Proverbial Goat will eat anything, so they will listen to anyone. A sheep only wants the Good Stuff, and it had better be Good because the sheep knows what the Good Stuff tastes like, and will accept no substitutes. Goats will rebel against the Lord, sheep will rebel against the world. Therefore, everyone, sheep AND goats, still rebel. The difference is, the Lord is pleased with the sheep and their “rebellion” against the world. On Judgment Day, will Christ find you Guilty of Rebelling AGAINST the world? That’s REBELLING in all its full definition, look it up and, Be Blessed.
