Daily Devotional. If ye will fear the Lord , and serve him, and obey his voice, AND NOT REBEL AGAINST THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD , then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God: 1 Samuel 12:14. REBEL; ”1. To refuse allegiance to and oppose by force an established government or ruling authority.
2. To resist or defy an authority or a generally accepted convention.
3. To feel or express strong unwillingness or repugnance:”
A little rebellion can go a long way. Every one of us is born with an inner sense of who God is and what He wants. On Judgment Day, no one will have the excuse, “l didn’t know about God”. Therefore, if we know about God, AND STILL REFUSE TO OBEY HIM, that is called Rebellion and can lead straight to Hell. This is a concept that no one in church will admit to today. We don’t call it rebellion, WE JUST DON’T ACKNOWLEDGE IT. Like the ostrich with his head in the sand, we chose not to see it, and are therefore “free” to do what we want to, with no bad consequences, BECAUSE WE’RE NOT DOING ANYTHING BAD. Therefore, again, if we’re not doing anything “bad”, than it’s obvious, EVERYTHING we do is good. Look at any church and the programs they run. Whatever they are, they are good, AND WE GET THE WARM FUZZIES WHEN WE DO THEM, and that proves we’re on the right track. And to top it all off, no one is asking, “Are we pleasing to the Lord”, so no one is listening if someone were to say, “This is NOT pleasing to the Lord”. With all this in place, we are completely free to do ANY program or plan we want to, because there is no opposition to them. Here’s how far this can spread. If the leadership of the church says they have a New Plan, and want the church to follow, no one would dare say anything against it because everyone has already been told, Without a Vision, the people perish, and no one wants to perish. Poof, it’s a done deal with no dissension, except by a few rebellious ones, Be Blessed?
