Daily Devotional. If ye will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, THEN SHALL BOTH YE and also the king that reigneth over you CONTINUE FOLLOWING THE LORD your God: 1 Samuel 12:14. But the anointing which ye have received of him (the Holy Spirit), abideth in you, and YE NEED NOT THAT ANY MAN TEACH YOU: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27. Most churches across America have many programs for people to do. Things that keep the congregation busy, and maybe even including the gospel, sometimes. The point is, many people in church need to feel needed and worthwhile, so the church provides, stuff for them to do. Do we really need to do “stuff”, in the church? When hard times come and churches are forced to cut back on most programs, what programs will be left to do? And what programs will be cut out? When the hard times come, will anyone care about “feelings”, or will the cry of the land be, “Where is Christ, show us Christ that we may be saved”? Silly man taught things will fall by the way side as people cry out for Truth and Life. The goats will still seek greatness, but the sheep, present and future, will still seek Christ. And the Holy Spirit Himself will be the Teacher, custom building a New Man in each one of us as only He can teach. Wouldn’t it be nice to stop the silly stuff we do now, just to be busy, and just let the Holy Spirit have His Way, as we get out of the way, and let Him have The Way? If we allow the Holy Spirit to Teach us The Way, we will ALL, Be Blessed.
