Daily Devotional. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance, (the lusts of the world): But as HE which hath called you is HOLY, so BE YE HOLY in all manner of conversation (life and lifestyle); Because it is written, Be ye holy; FOR I AM HOLY. 1 Peter 1:14-16. This is a personal, one on one call from the Lord to you, Joe Christian, to walk, talk, act, live, and Believe as a Holy Man of God. This has nothing to do with your friends, family, or neighbors. This Call is just for you, from the Lord. Imagine Him standing 2 feet in front of you, looking you square in the eye and saying, “BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY”. Would you change anything in your life if God said this to you, personally, to your face? Would you change even one thing? Maybe a few things? Maybe many things? Pride and Arrogance would say, I don’t need to change anything. Humility would say, Yes Lord, I need to change some things. Now for a hard question. If you’re willing to change towards Holiness with the Lord in your face, are you willing to change towards Holiness if He talks to you long distance? Does the Lord have to ask you to go for Holiness just a certain way, with love in His heart, and the right attitude, or it doesn’t count? When are the times you WILL listen to God, and when are the times you WON’T listen to God. GOD IS SPEAKING, AND YOU’RE GOING TO DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO LISTEN, OR NOT??? And IF you listen, what will it take for you to actually OBEY what HE wants? Yes, the flesh will fight tooth and nail to keep you away from holiness. Your spirit says to go for it. You have to choose whom you will listen to, all throughout the day, every day, for the rest of your life. No easy-believism here, just a daily battle with all the Victories you choose to take. Go for the Gold, choose HOLINESS, and, Be Blessed.
