Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1656

Daily Devotional. And (Jesus) found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: AND WHEN HE HAD MADE A SCOURGE OF SMALL CORDS, HE DROVE THEM ALL OUT OF THE TEMPLE, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. John 2:14-16. We’ve already discussed “Easy-Believism” and Salvation, but what about those already “saved”, whether real, or perceived? Here’s E-B in a church. Everyone from preacher to pew sitters, come to church, to do their duty, go through the motions, try to look religious, and get through it. There is no life here, just duty. What does The Temple of God, (you), look like after Christ throws out all the easy cheap stuff? You come to church with an expectant desire to hear from the Lord, no matter who He uses. Preacher, Teacher, or Joe Sheeper, you’re listening for the Lord in ALL of them. Regular person or fill-in, the Lord WILL speak. The music, Preaching, and Fellowship is full of Life. Music/Preaching, or Preaching/Music, the order may change and vary, it’s all ok, the “usual” is no longer the usual. EVERYONE comes expecting to hear from the Lord, AND HE SHOWS UP with Repentance, Healings, Mercy and Grace. But it doesn’t stop there. Everyone goes home to continue to share and Fellowship with friends, family, and neighbors. This is Life within a Lifestyle. Troubles show up, everyone works THROUGH them with learning and growth. No easy stuff here. The Christian Life is a hard life in many aspects, but no Believer has ever regretted this Life in Christ. Forget easy, Grab Life, and, Be Blessed.
