To be a Christian is a calling higher than any other profession, job, or occupation out there. The Standards are too high, too complex, and too detailed for any of us to be able to fulfill the requirements, without some outside help. This is why we people can’t “help” in our Salvation. Salvation is Totally, Completely, and Fully, a work of the Holy Spirit. Again, we can do nothing to help in our Salvation. In the Old Testament, the Jews couldn’t keep all the laws to be pleasing to the Lord. It was impossible. Only Christ was able to fulfill and satisfy all the demands of the law. It’s the same thing in the New Testament and Salvation. There are again to many requirements for us to get and keep Salvation. IT IS A GIFT OF CHRIST AND ONLY HE, (through the Holy Spirit), CAN FINISH THE WORK OF SALVATION. You can’t recite the right prayers over and over again, playing with beads won’t help, going to church once a week has no brownie points, praying to dead people is worthless, going door to door enough times can’t do it, and repeating someone else’s prayer for you is useless. SALVATION IS MEETING CHRIST, ONE ON ONE, FOR YOURSELF. WHEN YOU MEET HIM, YOU WILL FOLLOW HIM ANYWHERE HE LEADS YOU IN JOYFUL OBEDIENCE. He will lead you AWAY from all worldliness, into Holiness. You’ll gladly follow and never look back. Yes, you’ll slip up, and run to Him for forgiveness, and keep on following. The world claims a 12 step program can free you. Christ says HE WILL FREE YOU. Do it Christ’s Way, and, Be Blessed.
