Luke 10:27. Let’s put things a little more in perspective than what the nightly news will do. There are all kinds, sorts, shapes, and sizes of evil, sin, death and destruction out there. From the tiniest insult to a Martyrs Death, and everything in between. The death of a sinner is a terrible thing. They will SUFFER for eternity. No Christian will wish that on anyone, no matter what they have done. Look at the nice man next door, husband, father of 3, good worker, dies of a heart attack in His bed and goes to Hell. Then you see some vicious mass murderer enjoying inflicting great pain and suffering. He gets shot and goes to Hell. Do you rejoice for one, and are sad for the other? Do they both deserve it? Or does it tear your Heart out that 2 more have been lost to Damnation for all Eternity?? Don’t totem pole sin and evil. It’s all against God and will be Paid For by the person, or by Christ. Jesus, the Christ, Paid For ALL our sins. He loved them (us) all enough to pay for EVERY SINGLE SIN EVER COMMITTED, EVER. Don’t rejoice when one dies in his sins, Jesus wept for them, WILL YOU??? Let this be a time of self-examination about your attitude towards sinners, saved, town drunk, or Muslim murderer. LOST IS LOST, it could have been YOU who died and someone rejoiced over YOUR death. “Love your neighbor” is serious stuff. It’s not for the faint of heart. It takes serious CHRISTLIKENESS to obey this one. Yet Christ EXPECTS us ALL to obey Him in this. We have no excuse NOT to. Here’s where the rubber meets the road. Without Christ, you can’t Love your neighbor. With Christ you can, AND WILL, Love ’em all, and, Be Blessed.
