Daily Devotional. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:1-11. This is the gentle, merciful side of God’s Commandments. This is the attitude, the Heart’s Cry of a man who has decided to trust the Lord and found out that He is Who He says He is, and way more. More than he ever dreamed of. Even when he says, ” O let me not wander from thy commandments”, this is not a fear that he might walk away from God, but a Heart’s Cry that the Lord not let him even take one step away from the Lord. He is so in Love with the Lord that it would tear him up just to think he did even the least little thing against the Lord. His desire is to walk the edge of the razor blade and not lean to the left or to the right as he’s heading straight for Christ. CHRIST means EVERYTHING to him, and the world means nothing. Are you there yet? No? That’s ok, the guy that wrote these verses started off in sin just like you. And he’s trying to encourage you to have Faith like him, Christ is your only focus, and His Love for others in your heart. Ya, this is the Good News of Walking with Christ.
