Daily Devotional. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Matthew 17:1-2. Jesus allowed Peter, James, and John, to see a tiny piece of His Glory. Today, think about this with a picture in your mind of what they saw. What you “see” is only a tiny bit smaller than what they saw. Both you and they, (Peter, James, and John), have now seen, as it were, a tiny grain of sand on a huge, endless beach, of Christ. To say, on the Other Side it will just keep getting better and better, can’t even scratch the surface. Why is the Lord allowing us Believers to “see” and understand even this little bit of Himself? Because someday we are going to be greatly tested for our faith and we’ll need to remember all the Understanding we can get of Christ, to help us through. This is also why He says make no picture of Him. It can’t help us remember HIM as He wants us to see Him. A picture, an image, of Christ is all man can try for. And it’s only good enough to pollute your mind and understanding of the Christ He wants you to “see”. A “picture” of christ is a picture of another christ, a christ of our own making. That’s pollution at its best. Don’t even go there. Trash any pictures or movies you see of Christ, IT’S NOT HIM, NOTHING IS, IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE. God made us in His Image out of dirt. And we think we can use pretty colors to represent Christ??? Not a chance!!! Just understand we’ll see Him from Glory to Glory, and That picture, in our minds, from the Lord, is more than we’ll see on this side with our eyes. SEE HIM, and we will, Be Blessed.
