If you can do nothing, and bring nothing, with you to Christ, than it would make sense that it’s ONLY you and Christ. Let’s try that a different way. It’s only you and….. Everything, Completeness, Fullness, Totality, Fully Sufficient, and Perfection. For you to bring anything to Christ is like bringing a can of dog food to eat when Christ says, Come and Dine with Me at My Table. Suddenly, the dog food is nowhere to be found. His Feast is standard fare in His House. Anything you try to bring will look like it came from the dump when you see what He has for you. Learn from Moses and the Prophets, leave your junk at home, and don’t even think of bringing that stuff to His House. Compared to what He has, our stuff is as filthy rags. He doesn’t want, and we can’t bring, our Old Testament, and New Testament; ways, traditions, attitudes, rules, laws, and anything else. Sorry guys, HE JUST DIDN’T WANT IT. He paid it ALL. He doesn’t want your quarter to help HIM pay the Debt. Try this for size. You invite a friend over for a full, six course, gourmet, home cooked dinner, and he brings in a little combo box from some fast food chicken place, “to help out”. You may quietly set it aside as you bring out, THE BANQUET. How much more Precious and Priceless is what Christ has for you, decided on before time began, and you want to bring Him your filthy rags, AFTER He told you to leave them at home??? It is this easy? BRING NOTHING? Think about it, and, BRING NOTHING. Do you feel guilty about bring nothing? DON’T. Obedience is Best. Obey, and, Be Blessed.
