Daily Devotional. Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 26:1 What would the results be if a Preacher made a Covenant with the Lord to do nothing, (during the ONE HOUR allotted time for the Lord), and did ONLY what he could find in the Bible as an example of Preaching The Gospel. And that’s just for starters, to Preach the Gospel, and only the Gospel, for 1 hour. He would be challenged in his mind to “prove” every thing he would Preach and Teach, that it all came from the Bible. This is about EVERYTHING that goes on during that hour, everything. Singing, announcements, offering, preaching, selling stuff, and anything else going on for that 1 hour. Now for The hard questions. Is this doable, or are you so entrenched in your traditions and church ways, that it just can’t be done here? Are you afraid of what people might say, or do? Do you have a greater fear of man, or Fear of the Lord? Are you in a comfort zone you really don’t want to leave? I’m sorry, did you think I was ONLY talking to Preachers? This applies to ALL sheep and Shepherds. Do you, sheep, pray before the 1 hour service FOR the 1 hour service? Do you tithe as you should? Do you talk about the Lord to friends and co-workers? Are you in your comfort zone? Preachers may be one step above the sheep, but we’re all in this together trying to find The Lord’s Way. We’re all here to help each other prepare for our soon returning Conquering King. This is a lot for us all to think about. Let’s think about doing things His Way, that we ALL may, Be Blessed.
