Daily Devotional. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. 2 Timothy 2:15. So what kind of book is the Bible? An easy read? Dull and boring? Action and adventure? A page turner and hard to put down? All the above? None of the above? You decide what you think. One thing it is, and that’s a book of “Action”. Always something going on, something to read about that causes you to act, or react. The Bible will get in your head and bless you, or curse you. There’s no middle of the road with this one. The Bible is The Word Of God, and EVERY part of it can leave you hungry for more. It includes you right in the middle of the stories. You can easily find yourself right there, right in the middle of all the action. And there’s plenty of action to go around. Here’s a list of action words the Lord tells us to do. Look them over and see how many apply to your Life. Flee, Resist, Fight, Responsibility, Obedience, Put Aside, Wrestle, Run, Forsake, Crucify, Put On, Put Off, Pray, Follow, Believe, and a lot more. Jesus said a lot of things, and He also DID a lot of things. He was a Man of Action. He preached it, then He showed us how to Do it. We have no excuse for not having the faith to do ANY of the things He tells us to do. This part does require Faith and Obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, but with His Leadership and your Growing Faith, what is there that you CAN’T do? All these things on the list entails WORK. So work, and work hard, as if your life, or your friends life depended on it!!! (It does). Rest assured, there will be PLENTY of time to rest later. But right now, we need to work and work hard, the fields are ripe unto harvest. Christ will lose NONE of His, and we get the privilege of helping bring in the last sheep to Him. Just like someone helped bring YOU in. So return the favor, (in a manner of speaking), help bring in the last few and you will, Be Blessed.
