And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:28-32. Let’s look at this list from a different angle. In your mind, does it appear that some of these crimes are sort of, light duty? Not to be compared to those of a heavier sin. For example, how can “whisperers” be anywhere near, a
murderer, a guy who has actually killed 20 people? That would be totally UNFAIR. God is a loving God, remember? Sorry folks, a sin is a sin and there is no rating it on some comparative scale. EVERY sin is equal to ANY sin. And what’s 1 definition of sin? Not doing the thing you know you should do. No exception, no excuse, no do-over, it’s just called sin, plain and simple. This is where the problem comes in. We want to say how Fair God is, according to our definition of fair, and it doesn’t work that way. Yes, God is very tolerant. He is very tolerant of people who do things HIS WAY. His Way IS the only way and we’ve got to understand that. And God had made a way, (the ONLY way), for a sinner to get to Heaven, for all eternity. It’s a very simple way, and it works every time. Repent of your sins and follow Christ. Just ask to Meet Christ, on His Terms. He’ll make a way for you, if you want. He’ll even help you talk to him so no man has to tell you the “right words” to use. Just you and Christ, that’s all it takes for you to “get Saved”, and, Be Blessed.
