Daily Devotional. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, AND CAST OUT YOUR NAME AS EVIL, for the Son of man’s sake. Luke 6:22. This is where you, the Believer, the Follower of Christ, is on the downhill slide of acceptance in your 4 walls grassy front yard church. I’ll explain. You’re seeking a greater and stronger relationship with Christ in your daily Walk with Him. Your church has a few sheep you can get with, but most everyone else doesn’t understand what you’re trying to say when you do day something. You hope you’re taken seriously, but generally you’re quietly being laughed at and called silly, you’re funny, or generally ignored. You’re wanting to share with others the Golden Nuggets you’ve found in The Word, and in your excitement you find no one really wants to hear it. You may be the Pastor, Teacher, or Joe Sheeper. A while ago people were friendly and listened to you, and you thought you were talking to like-minded sheep. But you find as time goes on, you’re losing contact with them, IN THE CHURCH. They allow you to comment on their questions and quickly say, “OK, moving on now”, to other things. There is a lack of understanding between you and them. It could be they just don’t understand what you’re trying to say, because, either they have no hunger or interest, or the interest they do have only goes as far as the edge of their comfort zone and stops there. Or they actually don’t want to hear from you and would rather you just Be Quiet. What you say is Convicting them, and they don’t like it, BE QUIET!!! If they won’t Fellowship with you, and compare notes, then they have no interest in what you have to say. BE CAREFUL, EXAMINE YOURSELF, are you Preaching Christ, or Self. If it’s Self, THEY are warning you of a wrong pathway you’re on, but if it’s Christ, you are warning THEM of a wrong path THEY are on, and YOU will, Be Blessed.
