Daily Devotional. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Luke 6:22. How can anybody hate someone who loves them? And not only loves them, but Loves them with the Pure Love of Christ.? You want to help someone, improve their life, make things better? And they will hate you for it? How can that be? When you show them man’s love, you’re trying to help them as best you can with your own worldly understanding. Give a man a pair of shoes, he’s OK with that because you have ministered to his physical need, and that he will appreciate. Give him food, thank you. Give him money, he buys beer and cigarettes and says thank you. You have helped him meet what HE had already determined what HIS need is. He thanks you. You’re no threat as long as you are helping meet a need the person has decided, is his need. As long as you both agree on the need, you’ll be best of buddies. The world helping a worldly need, everyone’s happy as they both go on their way to Hell. Even Satan doesn’t mind ANYONE, (Christian or not), helping one of his be more comfortable on their way to Hell. Christians can do all kinds of Good Works that meet a physical need, AND THAT’S ALL. You’ve done nothing but grease the skids to Hell, IF THAT’S ALL YOU DO. Drill them a well for fresh water, give them a shoe box full of trinkets, build them a church, it’s all Good Stuff. Satan himself will thank you, IF THAT’S ALL YOU DO. DON’T MISUNDERSTAND, these things do meet a great physical need in a person’s life. This shows love, but that in itself is not enough. Even your “man-made” version of christ is worthless. ONLY the Christ of the Bible, on His Terms, can Save a man from Hell. ONLY the Love of Christ can Save any of us. ONLY with the Love of Christ can we, Be Blessed
