Page 4 (a continuation) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. (Again , MY Faith and Belief. MY Standards ONLY apply to ME, you have to build your own standards for you). If finding the Mind of Christ is like finding the Narrow Path to Christ, being straight, narrow, exact, and specific, there being no variance, no fudging, and no confusion, than we must seek Christ in the EXACT way He describes in His Word. (That’s why few find it, it has to be His Way). Here’s the challenge. Pick something you want to do. Now, compare that “thing” to the Bible, the Holy Word of God, and see if The Word backs you up, or says NO. If you can’t find the answer in black and white, than take this “thing” and wrap it up tightly in Holiness, Purity and Righteousness, Saturate that with Mercy and Grace, and THEN completely cover it all in the Greatest Love for your fellow man you can possible extend to him. And just to double check yourself, apply one more test. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS . Philippians 4:8. I now suggest, if what you want to do passes all the way through “THE GAUNTLET” with a Clean Heart, Pure Mind, and The Peace that passes Understanding, THEN GO FOR IT. But if you get checked at even ONE of these test items, shut it down and walk away. You can’t lose if you err on the side of HOLINESS. I’m not looking for how much I can get away with in my Freedom in Christ, I would rather ask the Lord to Constrain and Restrain me to the point of learning to be a Perfect Slave To The Perfect Master.
