Page 1; All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE “PERFECT”, (fitted, complete, perfect, having reference apparently to “special aptitude for given uses”), throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. A few years ago I asked a question in our Sunday School class and was told, “That’s a very good question, why don’t you find the answer, and get back to us”! OK, I have found an answer that I believe to be true, and with that answer I will add some insight for a better understanding. This will take a few days so I am marking this short series by “Page #’s”. Please read them all and THEN decide what you think about it. Here are my ground “rules”. I’ll be addressing this to Christians, Followers of Christ, Believers, it’s all the same. We are a group of people who Love the Lord and desire to hear His Word as the Final Word. When the Bible declares it in black and white, “Thou Shall Not…”, that pretty much settles it. All you have to decide is, does that apply to you, or not. We all have free choice to do what we want to do, or not. The problem comes in when the Bible “alludes to”, or “it seems to indicate”, or “I think it means”, and we have no real solid black and white command to anchor to. So what do we do? Maybe others can tell you better and wiser, but until you hear from them, I’ll fill in with this. All I can offer are the closest verses near the subject in question. Then you, like me, have to take all available information, pray over it, and ask the Lord to reveal the Mind of Christ about it. This is where both sides of the question can justify their side, and believe they’re right. ONLY WHEN YOU HEAR THE MIND OF CHRIST TO YOU, IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, WILL YOU BE SATISFIED AND AT PEACE. Until then, there will be nagging questions. Christ had only ONE answer that will give you Peace, let’s find it and, Be Blessed.
