But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS UNTO HIM : neither can he know them , because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14. This proves it, natural man can’t get saved, and can’t understand by his NATURAL means how to get saved. That’s true. So why do we waste our time talking to people who can’t understand? And it is a waste of time to talk to anyone IF WE TRY TO USE WORLDLY WISDOM TO TELL THEM OF SPIRITUAL THINGS. Remember, you have to Preach, Teach, or Talk THE GOSPEL to someone, AND THEN the Holy Spirit goes to work Witnessing the Truth of the Gospel as only He can do to reach a dead man and give him Life. If you speak the Words the Holy Spirit gives you, He will honor your Obedience and go to work. You may talk to someone once, or over many years, before he comes to Christ. Or he may never come to Christ. But your continuing Obedience will reap great rewards for later. All Christians can do is be Obedient, everything else is Truly a Work of the Holy Spirit. ALL the results are fully up to Him, whether you ever see the results, or not. Obedience will at least get you into the habit of praying for people, talking to people about the Lord , and recognizing that Still Small Voice of the Holy Spirit and what He wants you to pray for. Oh yes, if you’ll ask Him, He’ll give you all kinds of things and people to pray and intercede for, and that will be pure Obedience. Listening to That Still Small Voice and learning to Obey will have you doing things for the Lord you’ve never dreamed of. Trying to. “do works” for God doesn’t amount to anything. Works WITH and BECAUSE OF Faith is what the Lord is looking for. Understand, it’s Faith AND Works in OBEDIENCE to the Holy Spirit, that’s what Pleases the Lord. How much Better can it get than that?
