In the movie, ”The Titanic”, some of the men were sure they were going to die a horrible death by drowning in frigid water. They were determined to get into the lifeboats, a place of safety, and they didn’t care if they had to push women and children side, to their sure death, so they could be safe. . “I’m safe, you’re on your own, I’m not really concerned about you or your safety”, was their heart’s cry. In their selfish push for safety, they raised themselves above everyone else, women, children, and families. Their safety was in the lifeboats and no one else mattered. This way of thinking is happening all over again, all over many churches of America. “I love my family, my neighbors, and my friends, I pray 2 hours a day, I go on Visitation at every opportunity, I sing in the choir, and I testify to everyone about the love of the Lord. I LOVE EVERYONE, that is, until I hear the Baptist Rapture call, and then all bets are off. I’m not hanging around for the 7 years of Tribulation, they’ll be too hard and Christ won’t be able to take care of me. I’m outta here and it doesn’t matter how close you are to salvation, someone else can finish the job, my safety trumps your need for salvation. Good luck in the next life”. If this is coming across as arrogant, totally selfish, and even two faced hypocritical, you’re starting to get the picture.
