Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1804

Daily Devotional. Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: BUT OUT OF THEM ALL THE LORD DELIVERED ME. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:11-12. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I (Paul) am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 2 Corinthians 11:23-27. Paul was a Christian and very busy about the Lord’s Business. He was faithful to the calling on his life and was very effective in all he did. The bottom line is, he was a Christian and
his life shows us what a Christian’s life CAN be like. Not everyone will suffer troubles like Paul did. Many have a much easier LOOKING life and whether it truly was easier, or not, they know. As far as our walk with the Lord today, we really have no reason or right to complain about the Trouble’s we could go through as long as they are equal, or less than, Paul’s life. And remember, at the end, Paul did have his head removed from his body. If you go through all that, and then one more trouble, maybe then you might have the right to complain??? Otherwise, Be Gracious, Be Thankful for all the Lord brings your way, and, Be Blessed.
