Daily Devotional. If a man therefore purge himself from these, (iniquity and unbelief), HE SHALL BE A VESSEL UNTO HONOUR, sanctified, AND meet for the master’s use, and prepared UNTO EVERY GOOD WORK. 2 Timothy 2:21. Because it is written, Be ye holy; FOR I AM HOLY. 1 Peter 1:16. For the next few minutes, take no thought about the lost, the sinners, the goats of the world. They will die and go to Hell. This is for the 4 walls, grassy front yard church. Here goes. God wrote His Word to those who come through the front doors of the church. He knows He has them for 1 hour on Sunday morning before they go back into the world. In that hour He wants to tell them He loves them, Paid For their crimes against Him, and has a new World for them to live in, if they will just live by His Rules. He is a Sovereign King over His World, and the rules of our world won’t get us there to His. When we cross over to His World entering in to it, He won’t accept, “I should be allowed in because I was a good man according to the Rules of the world I came from”. He will reply, “Depart from Me, you didn’t live by the Rules of the World I come from”. The thinking and justifying of, “I’m a good person”, goes out the window when we understand our rules mean nothing to Him. ONLY HIS RULES, FROM HIS WORLD, WILL GET US OUT OF OUR WORLD AND INTO HIS. Then we’re lost because His Rules, in the Bible, are impossible to live by. No man has ever done it. ONLY one Man, Jesus Christ, lived a Perfect Life, and has showed us and told us His Way for us to get to His World. He sent us His Holy Spirit to teach us each step of the Way to Follow Him to His World. Grace is our Cover as we move towards Him. (“cheap grace” allows us to continue to live by our rules here). Grace is NOT our Cover to continue to live by our rules of our world. If we will Live in His Grace, and Love Him and His Rules, we will ETERNALLY, Be Blessed.
