Daily Devotional. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING. John 15:4-5. This is not a small comment that Jesus hopes you might consider, or possibly even believe. NO, He’s stating a fact and expects you to Believe it. AND He expects you to Obey it. There’s no negotiations here. Think about it this way. Everything you did this week is going up in smoke, as wood, hay, and stubble. UNLESS, the thing was done in complete Obedience to the direct Will of Christ. If you did 30 things today, and not one of them was in Obedience to His Will, then it’s all going up in smoke and you’ll get no credit at all. It doesn’t matter if it’s a little 50¢ choice, or a thousands of dollars decision, disobedience is disobedience and there’s no Grace allowed for the size of it. If you tell Christ “NO”, there is no further discussion. And this is not asking Christ to put His stamp of approval on your thing, this is you talking with, praying to, Fellowshipping with, and being Obedient to Christ during ALL of the thing. You’re walking WITH Christ as HE leads in all phases of EACH of your daily projects, even if it means being in prayer all day. That’s a good thing. Christ will make it more than worth it when you and He finish the project, together. This little verse is for you, study it and make it a part of your Life, and you will, Be Blessed.
