Daily Devotional. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. Luke 16:29. AND HE, (Moses), TOOK THE CALF which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, AND GROUND IT TO POWDER, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it. Exodus 32:20. Behold, He cometh with clouds; AND EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7. Some churches are very careful not to fall into the “Prosperity Gospel Message” where you can be big-time blessed with lots of stuff. And God wants to prosper you here and now with no pain and suffering as you enjoy your lots of stuff. Ok, so you’re too smart to fall for the “Plan A” prosperity stuff, maybe the “Plan B” No Pain, All Gain, message will getcha. That’s the one where, for over 2000 years people have gladly died for the cause of Christ as Martyrs accepting death at the hands of evil men in every way imaginable. Death has lost its sting and Christ makes it all worth it. Intense pain and suffering, as but for a moment, is forever forgotten at the Sight of Christ. Except for us, the last generation. For some mysterious, unexplained reason, Jesus will count us as worthy of skipping all pain, suffering, and even death itself, because, because, I’m sorry, I guess I don’t know the why because answer. I missed that part. Are we better than the rest of them? That doesn’t sound right. Are they better than us? That doesn’t sound right either. Ok, we’re all the same, but we get raptured out before the real trouble hits….why? Martyrs, all pain, all gain!!! Last generation, no pain, all gain. GOD DOESN’T CHANGE AND THE BIBLE DOESN’T LIE.
