Daily Devotional. And (Jesus) called the multitude, and said unto them, HEAR, AND UNDERSTAND: Matthew 15:10. A bruised reed shall he not break, and SMOKING FLAX SHALL HE NOT QUENCH, till he send forth judgment unto victory. Matthew 12:20. As you read and study the bible, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you are reading and to work that understanding deep down into your spirit to work itself out in everyday life. Now here’s a command for ALL Christians, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY”. 1 Peter 1:15-16. This is an impossible command that none of US can do. It HAS to be a Work of the Holy Spirit. Here’s a question, if the bible says, Christian, BE YE HOLY, and you’re not feeling very holy, do you question your Christianity? When God says DO or BE, and you’re not much like the DO or BE, does condemnation try to jump on you and you wonder if there’s ANYTHING about you pleasing to the Lord? Are you REALLY a true Christian? THAT’S A GOOD THING, GO AHEAD, EXAMINE YOURSELF!!! Just the fact that you are asking means you want to know where you stand, are you making progress in the Lord, are you one of His? THE FACT THAT YOU ARE ASKING HIM, IS A GOOD INDICATION THAT YOU ARE, ONE OF HIS. A goat has no interest in asking because they KNOW they already are. (An incorrect assumption). Sheep, especially young sheep very often check to see if they’re anywhere near the Shepherd. Remember, the Good Shepherd will lose NONE of His sheep. Be greatly encouraged little sheep, keep seeking the Face of Christ, fellowship with Him continuously, (as you’re able), study His Word, learn that Still Small Voice of the Holy Spirit leading you. It’s OK, He’ll take care of you, ask your questions and remember His answers. Enjoy the Peace that passes understanding as you GROW into, BE YE HOLY. You’re a Work in progress. GROW, and, Be Blessed.
