Daily Devotional. So (Joseph) sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, SEE THAT YE FALL NOT OUT BY THE WAY. Genesis 45:24. Joseph has just instructed his brothers to obey him, and in the midst of Obedience, don’t get sidetracked. Stay the course no matter what is going on around you. As the Lord instructs us Believers in exactly what we are to do, He also warns us not to get sidetracked. How does this happen? The more you study His Word, and the more you Obey His instructions, the deeper your Walk will be with the Lord. The more detailed your instructions will be, and the more you will grow in CHRISTLIKENESS. AND THE MORE THE ENEMY WILL TRY TO GET YOU TO DOUBT AND QUESTION THE DETAILS. Instead of a simple one thing to obey, there will be many small things leading to a big Victory. Satan loves to play in the “details”. When you hear a Word from the Lord, anchor in to it, follow
the instructions, and don’t lose focus. Don’t start to doubt yourself and what He told you to do. If Satan can’t get you to doubt the Lord, he will try to get you to doubt the WORDS from the Lord. When God says, “Do this thing”, Satan says, it can’t be done. Again, don’t get sidetracked by the enemy. Even well intentioned family and friends may doubt your Walk with the Lord because they’ve never seen anything like it before. Good intentions, or not, don’t let anyone sidetrack you from what you KNOW to be a Word from the Lord. Yes, it is easy to get sidetracked from God’s instructions. And the serpent said unto the woman, (Eve), Ye shall not surely die: Genesis 3:4. You see how THAT ended up. Be careful, this was one simple little sidetrack. Listen, Obey, and, Be Blessed.
