Daily Devotional. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES. Ephesians 6:12. We know we can’t fight against flesh and blood people to win a spiritual war. It just can’t be done. We MUST use spiritual weapons in spiritual warfare. Principalities and powers start in the realm of the spiritual, but they will manifest themselves in the realm of the physical. So where can we come against spiritual wickedness in high places? One place is in the church. More specifically, in the pulpit. Yes, many pulpits have spiritually mature Godly Preachers in them. And many have spiritually bankrupt, ungodly preachers, with no maturity and no understanding of the Word at all. Many of these preachers preach great heresies, lies, and deception, while many others preach partial truths mixed in with lies and errors. Many preach a smooth message that leaves you feeling good about yourself. Smooth and easy preaching will never lift up your sin to expose it to the light of God’s Word. You will never be challenged in your walk with the Lord. There are all kinds of preachers and churches out there who will tell you exactly what you want to hear. Christ said follow me and I will give you a Cross to carry, and to die on. His words will cut your flesh, self, and old men nature to ribbons. Your flesh will die daily as Christ is lifted up in your life. Being a Christian is the hardest Life out there and it is the only Life out there. Everything else leads to death. So, do you want to follow dead men preaching death, or follow Christ preaching life for all eternity? Pray for your pastor that he will preach Life and Christ, that you will Grow In Christ and Life, and you both will, Be Blessed.
