Daily Devotional. Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, LEST I CONFOUND, ( to be shattered, be dismayed, be broken, be abolished, be afraid),THEE BEFORE THEM. For, behold, I HAVE MADE THEE this day a DEFENCED CITY, and an IRON PILLAR, and BRASEN WALLS against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; FOR I AM WITH THEE, saith the Lord , TO DELIVER THEE. Jeremiah 1:17-19. Jeremiah has just received his commissioning from the Lord to go talk to EVERYONE about the Lord. They will all hate you, but I, the Lord will keep you, UNLESS YOU BECOME DISMAYED, (Afraid), of them. Basically, Go Preach and don’t fear anybody, I’ll take care of you, says the Lord. Today, we Believers have the same orders, to go out and Preach the Gospel to dead people. Yes, the Lord will keep us safe IN HIM. This doesn’t mean we will live a long life in comfort and safety. Stuff may happen to the body, (Right Paul?), but that harm and hurt is NOT for us to worry about. We are to go, say, and do, as the Lord directs. All will be well, even in death, if we obey the Lord. If we choose to NOT obey the Lord because we fear the people, THE LORD HIMSELF will break us until we fear HIM, and not the people. If you are the Lord’s, HE WILL KEEP YOU, but if need be, He will keep you THROUGH TRIALS to keep you as His. Let’s face it, Preaching the Gospel can hurt us, all the way to Perfection. So do it the easy way, Fear God, don’t fear man, Obey the Lord, and, Be Blessed.
