Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1555

Daily Devotional. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord ; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord : and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: (and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked). And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. Isaiah 11:2-5. All these verses are talking about the (has come) soon coming Christ. All these verses, except for the part in parentheses, is for all us, His Followers. These verses describe a part of Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS we will all be growing into. Some more, some less, some faster, some slower, but we will all be growing. Words can not describe, (for example) the physical, spiritual, and emotional process of Growing towards CHRISTLIKENESS. It’s like using a black and white TV set and trying to describe hi def color. Until you experience Christ for yourself, and all He reveals to you, about the best you can tell someone sharing Christ with you is, “I’m glad what you believe works for you”. It can almost get frustrating trying to describe Christ to a non-believer. Only the Holy Spirit can make Christ real to someone. Isaiah penned the above verses, could you describe to him just Who this coming person is and what it’s like to have the Holy Spirit Living inside you? Until you meet Isaiah, practice describing Christ to your neighbor, and, Be Blessed.
