Daily Devotional. Wisdom crieth without; She uttereth her Voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city She Uttereth Her Words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate Knowledge? Turn you at My Reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you, I will make Known My Words unto you. Because I have Called, and ye refused; I have stretched out My Hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought ALL My Counsel, and would NONE of My Reproof: I also will Laugh at your calamity; I will Mock when your fear cometh; Proverbs 1:20-26. Recently we discussed these verses from a lost person’s perspective, but this time we’ll look at them from a Believers viewpoint. This is not about True Believers rejecting God and going to Hell, no, this is more like “Examine Yourself” to check and see how you’re doing in the Obedience Department. As we finished last time, ANYTHING the Lord asks you to do is for your Benefit. So how many times yesterday did He ask you to do something and how many times did you say “Yes” or “No”? No guilt or shame here, we ALL fall short, so if (when?) you fall, just get back up, brush yourself off and go at it again! With a Heart Cry to keep striving to be more Obedient, and the Holy Spirit Helping you to be more Obedient, it’s a win-win for all. Be careful, Satan will try to worm his way in through the little “disobediences”, try to make you feel guilty and ashamed, and feel like a hypocrite, DON’T FALL FOR IT!!! Ask Forgiveness and keep going as we ALL keep moving forward to see accomplished all that the Lord has for us to each do to do our part. If you do mess up, the Lord does have a “Plan B” to finish what He wants done, it’s just that He gave you the first Call to do it, whatever “it” is. His Finished Plan doesn’t depend on your Obedience, but your Obedience will help it get done faster. Be Obedient, and you will, Be Blessed.
