Daily Devotional. Consider what I say; and THE LORD GIVE THEE UNDERSTANDING IN ALL THINGS. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT BOUND. Therefore I ENDURE ALL THINGS for the elect’s sakes, THAT THEY MAY also OBTAIN the SALVATION which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. It is a faithful saying: FOR if WE be dead with him, we SHALL also LIVE WITH HIM: STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, THE LORD KNOWETH them that are HIS. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, AND PREPARED UNTO EVERY GOOD WORK. And THE SERVANT of the Lord MUST not strive; but BE GENTLE UNTO ALL MEN, apt to teach, patient, 2 Timothy 2:7-11,15,19,21,24. In the world, there is a saying that goes like this. “Until you’ve traveled a mile in my shoes, you’re not able to tell me how to travel, period”. Meaning, if I, the writer of MORNINGTIME, have never been to jail, I have no connection, and no right to relate to those in jail. In the world, I would agree with that. But Christians are no longer “of this world”. We are “of Christ” and Christ transcends EVERYTHING of this world. A Christian’s Goal is to be more like Christ, AND ALL CHRISTIANS, CAN HELP, ALL CHRISTIANS TOWARDS THAT GOAL. CHRISTLIKENESS rises above our circumstances, therefore, Christ USES our circumstances to Grow us IN HIM, and now each one of us is qualified to help others “Grow In Christ” THROUGH our circumstances. I can’t tell you, of the Inside Church, what it feels like to be someone’s physical Prisoner, BUT CHRIST CAN. And He is our “Equalizer”. And in Him, we will ALL be Free, and will, Be Blessed.
