Daily Devotional. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, WE SHOULD LIVE SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GODLY, in this present world; Titus 2:11-12. God’s Grace brings Salvation to all men, deny yourself the bad stuff, and live in the good stuff. Pretty simple and straightforward. It tells us of Grace, what not to do, and what to do. It is all said as an encouragement to obey with no hint of what happens with disobedience. These verses don’t condemn anyone, they’re just simple instructions. This is really an encouragement to Believers. They need no threatening’s because Believers will take these verses as instructions for Life, and not even look at contrary situations. This is all carrot with no need for the stick. Believers will run for the carrot, grab ahold, and share it with their hungry friends. They will SHARE the Good News with others they think are hungry for the truth. Yes, there are times you will share the Gospel with people who can’t wait for you to shut up and leave. The Lord has His reasons for talking to deaf ears who He KNOWS won’t listen. That’s His call, and for our Obedience. There are many other places in the Bible where the “Stick” comes into play as a warning or sometimes as Judgment. But many times the Lord says things just to lift up and encourage, Believers. Many times it’s for us Believers to Obediently walk into a dead situation, in spite of what it looks like, and bring in Life. We go because God said to. His Reasons are good enough. Conscience will encourage AND convict the Believer. And a cold heart of stone will kill the conscience of the unbeliever over time. It takes a while, but it can be done. Only the Holy Spirit can save, and EVERYONE is fair game in that department. Listen to The Word, Be Saved, Be Blessed.
