Daily Devotional. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. Faith; CONVICTION of the truth of anything, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it. It’s Believing for things you hope for, (I’m boarding this plane with the faith it will make a safe trip), and it’s Believing for things that under normal circumstances, it can’t happen, as in, Jesus said let’s go to the other side, (and a squall is coming, it can’t be done), BUT BECAUSE JESUS SAID IT, IT’S A DONE DEAL, NO FEAR. The first faith test everyone HAS to go through is, I don’t know how, but I Believe Jesus has saved me. By Faith, I know this is true. From that point on, Faith grows. Whether you’re a brand new baby lamb, or a well-seasoned mature sheep, the lord will always stretch your faith just a little more than last time. Each time you believe something by faith, your faith is Growing. And the lord will continue to Grow Faith to your dying days. Each new Faith test is built on the results of your last Faith test. And when, (not if but when), you fail a test, the Lord will bring it back around to go at it again. Learn from your mistakes and keep on growing. The verse, “Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; LET THEM HEAR THEM”, Luke 16:29, is a direct instruction to all of us to read up on and study all about Moses and the Prophets. Learn all about them, what they did right, and what they did wrong. LEARN ALL OF IT AND THEM. Yes, it’s all through Christ, these guys will show you THE WAY TO LIFE, the WAY TO CHRIST, they were men who obeyed, who are examples of CHRISTLIKENESS. Each one of them had some of Christ in them, learn from them and you will have a better picture of Christ in the here and now, everyday life. It’s Christ Living in them and through them. Start with them, and, Be Blessed.
