Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1814

Daily Devotional. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3. And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:29-31. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8. This is an admonition to stop asking for your everyday, daily, needs and to get your eyes onto Jesus as your source for Everything. The intent here is to not focus on our everyday life needs, the Lord already knows all we will ever need to keep alive. He’s wanting us to first, seek His Face and find out what is important to Him, what does He want us to pray about, what is the Mind of Christ? When you enter into your Prayer Closet and Fellowship with the Lord, He WILL show you what’s important to Him and the things on His Mind. At any time of the day, He can nudge you to pray for someone, or a situation, and you can send up prayer as you have time. It may be a quick prayer, or a great time of intercession. The Lord knows where you work and will only ask of you as He determines. Try an experiment. For the next 30 days, in your prayer time, don’t send up any prayers for yourself, or your immediate family. Trust the Lord that He knows all your family needs. Now pray for everything and everyone else the Lord DOES put in your mind. Your focus is on others. This can be a start to a well-balanced Prayer Life. Yes, of course, you will be back to praying for your family, but for the first. 30 days, it’s all about the Lord and seeking His Heart Cry, first. Bless the Lord, and, Be Blessed.
