Daily Devotional. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Perfect: fitted, complete, perfect having reference apparently to “special aptitude for given uses”. Would it be OK to say, “Specially fitted and equipped for a specific task or job”? That would seem to mean that God will prepare each one of us for a specific job, or part, in the Body of Christ. Each one of us will be so fitted together, so in-tuned with each other, so obedient to hear and obey that Still, Small, Voice, that we are all as One Body of Christ. Like a well-oiled machine with all parts machined so closely together, with tolerances so exact, that with the Oil (of the Holy Spirit) applied properly, gives just enough slip to work, in very close quarters without overheating. That’s Precision Engineering. That’s what the Holy Spirit is doing RIGHT NOW, in the Body of Christ, across the world. “THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT”, is the Body of Christ growing into CHRISTLIKENESS. Christians will soon quit saying things like, “Well, I’m only human”, or, “That’s just my nature”, or, “Only Christ was perfect”. If this is you, QUIT IT, STOP MAKING EXCUSES, STOP JUSTIFYING YOURSELF. We don’t want to hear it, God doesn’t want to hear it, and your friends don’t want to hear it. Christ is making you better than that. Put Christ on, take your rightful place in the Body of Christ, and Grow in Christ. Only 2 choices, work WITH Christ, or work WITHOUT Christ. Either way is self-explanatory. Choose the tough road, it’s easier, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
