Daily Devotional. The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for TO STEAL, and TO KILL, and TO DESTROYI: I (Christ), am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10. The whole, total, and complete purpose of the plan of Satan is to kill off as many people as he can. If he can kill un-believers, then they will never come to the Lord. If he can kill the “Lord, Lord” people, they will never come to the Lord. If he can get a christian to deny the Lord, then kill them, then they will die without the Lord also. And if Satan can’t get a Christian to deny the Lord, then if he can just kill the Christian, that one will no longer be able to “infect” other people with the gospel message and get them saved. Satan cares nothing about man. He loves no one but himself. His bottom line is, the more he can take to Hell, the less there will be, TO PRAISE THE LORD. If Satan has to throw money, fame, and fortune at someone to choke out any gospel teaching they may have had, and send them to Hell, that’s a small price to pay to keep them from salvation. Satan will even allow a person to hear a cheap, watered down version of the gospel, then tell them, “That was a great sermon, that takes care of my needs for a good while”. He even will allow someone to go up front, say the Magical Mystical Prayer, then tell them, “OK, you’re in, let’s go watch the game”, and that’s the last time you see them in church. Satan will use sneaky, conniving, dirty under handed tricks, and killer guerrilla tactics to keep anyone from Christ. He knows he’s going to Hell and His time is short, he’s not any angrier or more hateful than he’s ever been, he’s just working harder and faster than he has ever before BECAUSE his time is short. He can’t get any angrier or more hateful because HE IS pure anger and hatred. That’s the bad news. The good news is, if you understand he IS on a leash, you WILL, Be Blessed.
