Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 1790

Daily Devotional. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman THAT NEEDETH NOT TO BE ASHAMED, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. Who is your first love, and how is it working out for you? (Gender appropriate). Guys, when you met your wife to be, for the first time, did you find her interesting? After a few dates, did you want to be with her more, than away from her? How long did it take before you were telling your friends what a special, wonderful person she was and you wanted to be with her all the time? How important was it when you announced to the world, “She’s mine, I’m hers, we’re getting married”? After the wedding, did you get protective and expect all your friends to come visit, but give your wife all the due respect she greatly deserves? No cussing, no spitting chew on the carpet, wipe off your boots before you come in the front door, as in, this is a place I want you to respect, and people here I want you to treat properly? You expect your friends to respect your wife as much, and more, than even you do. And when you’re away from her, your friends hear all about how you can’t wait to get back to her and all the things she blesses you with, starting with, just to be near her. (This is a really good marriage and I hope yours is this good). Here’s the question, do you Love Christ, less than, equal to, or more than, your wife? Would you take a bullet for your wife? Would you die for Christ if called to walk down that road? Whose hand would you reach for, and whose hand would you walk away from, if the choice came to choose only one, or the other? Now the hard part. If Christ doesn’t come FIRST in each AND every one of these situations, ALL of them, then He’s only number 2 in your life, and He’ll take the back seat to nobody. He’s First, or He’s nothing. If He’s nothing to you, you’re a dead man walking. Put Christ FIRST in your life, and you will ALL, Be Blessed.
