Daily Devotional. My defence is of GOD, which SAVETH THE UPRIGHT IN HEART. GOD JUDGETH THE RIGHTEOUS, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalm 7:10-11. When a gardener wants to plant and harvest a really good and bountiful harvest, He goes to work in his garden, seriously. He tills and prepares the soil, he mixes in the right fertilizer, and he acquires good seed. And when the seeds sprout, he is constantly on the lookout for weeds. They get gone, fast. Young weeds are very easy to handle, and remove. On the other hand, the lazy gardener feels he has no need for a garden, makes no effort to prepare the soil, uses no fertilizer, and finds cheap, leftover seeds no one else wants. And when his garden comes up almost all weeds, he’s not surprised and complains about bad seed. If you lump together ALL the churches in America today, all faiths, all religions, you’ll find that “The Church” is very sick and extremely lazy. Much of the time, very little time, if any, goes into preparing a sermon. This is assuming some preachers actually Believe the whole bible. And forget about pulling weeds, as far as the gardener knows, weeds are good, BECAUSE HE HAS A GARDEN FULL OF THEM. No one can tell him differently because all he sees is a garden full of good, big, healthy, plants. AND THEY’RE GROWING IN LEAPS AND BOUNDS. He doesn’t understand they’re all weeds. No, it’s not heresy in his church, it’s a new translation of an old doctrine. It’s up to date and it’s hip, just ask the kids, they have the fastest growing class in the whole church. And those who leave weren’t really committed anyway. So, preacher, teacher, and Joe Sheeper, you think you have a good godly church, BY WHOSE STANDARDS? It’s got to be God’s Standards for you to Truly, Be Blessed.
