If ye will fear the Lord , and serve him, and obey his voice, AND NOT REBEL against the commandment of the Lord , then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God: 1 Samuel 12:14. FOR REBELLION IS AS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, He (the Lord) hath also rejected thee from being (Preacher/Teacher) king. 1 Samuel 15:23. When God says, “Thou Shalt…” and we say, “I shalt NOT, it’s against my theology, it’s against my Denominational Teaching, it’s against what I want to preach/teach, THAT’S REBELLION AGAINST THE LORD. We’re talking about Preachers and Teachers who KNOW the voice of the Lord, and still say NO. (Yes, Joe Sheepers are included in this list also). God says You Will, and we say I Won’t, it’s that simple, it’s that easy. Rebellion is a natural state of the world. It’s getting really serious when a man who Knows the Lord, who Knows the Voice of the Lord, who hears a direct command from the Holy Spirit to Preach/Teach ALL the Gospel, and says NO, followed by some excuse, this isn’t going to go well. None of us obey the Lord 100% of the time, so that’s not the problem. The Problem is when a Heart Attitude starts to change to NO, I’ll do it my way. This is not some misunderstanding with the Lord, something you didn’t do once, this is a continual Rejection of what the Lord Asks, Says, Commands, or Demands a person to do. The Old Testament is full of examples of people who started off with the Lord, and drifted away. They tasted of the Lord, and slowly turned their back on Him. This never goes well. Are YOU Rebelling?
