Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1589

Daily Devotional. And thou shalt LOVE THE LORD THY GOD with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7. “LOVE THE LORD THY GOD”, is such a simple command, it is designed to be easy and acceptable to someone who wants to say, “Yes, I love the Lord, now what do I do?”, feeling very content with themself about completing this task, they go their merry way. But to the one who is Very Hungry, he’ll read these 3 verses and dig in for the long haul, searching for definitions, doing word studies, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, seeking for Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding because He Knows his very Life depends on it. One says, (yawn), “that’s nice”, the other says, “Teach me Lord, I want all you have for me”. You will get exactly what you want to get out of the Bible, no more, and no less. You can have a little tea and crumpets, or you can Feast Forever at His Banqueting Table. The Lord won’t push you to do ANYTHING you don’t want to do. He won’t even make you “get saved”. When Christ died on the Cross, He paid for all your sins, and all your future. How much of your future do you want Him in? He Shed enough Blood to cover it all. So you want less than His All? Are you wasting any of His, “Paid In Full” Blood shed for you? If your friends needs blood and you give a pint for him, and he rejects it and turns his back to you, and then dies, are you angry? Sad? Jesus gave you His Blood, have you used it all? Or only some? Think about it, and, Be Blessed.
