Daily Devotional – MORNINGTIME 1581

Daily Devotional. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord , keep not silence, AND GIVE HIM, (the Lord) NO REST, till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem A PRAISE IN THE EARTH. Isaiah 62:6-7. This may be a little stretch here, but let’s go for it anyway. Jerusalem back then, a place where the Temple was, and Christians today, (each one a Temple of the Holy Spirit), are in similar situations. The watchman on the wall was needed to report sneaking deception trying to get into the city, just as today we still need Watchmen to warn of sneaking deception still trying to get into the Temple to disrupt, distort, and water down the Gospel Message. Today, the watchman is to report what he sees to the proper authorities, (people), AND to the Lord. This is not just to make a comment or two to the Lord about some problem, this is to continually beat in the Lord’s door asking Him to deal with a bad situation, with a sin trying to take down a fellow Believer, to root out some sin in the camp, to petition the Lord to Save one lost, or falling away, as you stand in the gap praying and interceding for their very survival. Basically, you’re not going to let up in your urgency and intercession for others until the Lord makes them a praise offering, a sweet smelling savor, to Himself. When the Lord puts a Burden in your Spirit for someone, you take it to Him as a matter of urgent Intercession and Prayer until the matter is Finished. Until then, you’re beating in the Gates of Heaven beseeching the Lord to Fulfill your Burden as He has given it to you. No letting go until the Lord Finishes it. Don’t let go of the Lord, and don’t let go of the lost, until the lost grabs hold of the Lord and gets Saved. Then Everyone will, Be Blessed.
