Daily Devotional. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, WHICH SHALL NEVER HOLD THEIR PEACE day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord , KEEP NOT SILENCE, And give HIM (the Lord) no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7. It doesn’t matter if you are on the wall as a Watchman for only 10 minutes a day, to give another Watchman a break for a few minutes, or if you are a Watchman living in the wall all the time, always be watching, always be on guard, and always reporting in about anything you see coming towards you, friend or foe, alike. If an enemy is trying to sneak in with Great, or small, Deception, sing out, sound the alarm. It’s up to others to go and Defeat the enemy. Watchman, warn of ANY impending danger, no matter how big, or how insignificant it may look, REPORT AND DON’T BE QUIET. Others will actually keep the city safe. Oh, you say you’re not a Watchman and this doesn’t apply to you? “Ye that MAKE MENTION of the Lord, KEEP NOT SILENCE”, this covers anyone who calls themself a Christian. If you love the Lord, you will not be silent either. If you see a danger sneaking up on a friend, or family member, SING OUT to them, warn them, don’t let them fall into sin. Maybe you can’t stop them, BUT YOU CAN WARN THEM THEY ARE HEADED FOR DANGER. If you love your Brother, you will look out for him, and he for you. And does your Love go deeper than that? Have you spoken to your unsaved friend about the errors of his ways? That without Christ, he’s headed for death and destruction? If you bring him to Christ, he’ll thank you forever. If he rejects Christ, he’ll curse himself for not listening to you. Speak up, to them all, and, Be Blessed.
