Daily Devotional. For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22. The Scriptures show us that there will be tribulation on Saints and sinners alike. But wait, maybe not, there is a teaching out there, in the last 200 years, that says that Christ will come back in the clouds and snatch up all His just before the start of the Great 7 year Tribulation. That’s very good news for all the people wanting out of here before real trouble hits. This is NOT a discussion on who is right or wrong in this belief. This is the “Rapture” theory and many people believe it. Some, because this is all they have heard from childhood to today, and why would family, preachers, and teachers all lie about something like this? Some believe The Rapture because they really want someone to tell them, “It’ll be ok, God won’t make you suffer like that”. And some believe The Rapture because many people want to hear it, and are willing to pay them, (set fee and/or love offering), to tell them so. For those of you not Solidly Anchored into Rapture Theology, I have a few questions for you. Yes, this IS meant to get you to question your theology, to take it to the Lord and ask HIM what HE wants you to know. This IS between you and God. You Believe as He shows you, and all the rest of our opinions can go out the window. If there is ANY deception anywhere in your (my) thinking, cast it out and fill it in with Truth. If we all seek the Truth, we will all be of the Mind of Christ, and we will all, Be Blessed.
