Daily Devotional. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15. This will be a Strong illustration so take it with a grain of salt and ask the Lord if or how this could apply to you and your Walk with the Lord. ARE YOU A MURDERER AT HEART? Generally, most people shy away from hurting another person, UNLESS that person threatens a loved one. You say you’re a Christian and love your neighbor, that’s good. If a gun is on a stool in front of you and you are able to reach it to shoot a man, would you if… He was going to kill your dog? If he was going to kill your neighbor who was not saved? He was going to kill your husband or wife? Going to kill your children? Going to kill all your family? He is going to line up 50 people and kill 1a minute until you deny Christ? (You can shoot him and stop him at any time). He will do ALL the above until you deny Christ. You get the idea. Can you kill a man, or woman, for any of these reasons? So the question is, can the enemy push your buttons and turn you into a murderer? On the one hand, no murderer gets into heaven. On the other hand, you can (murder someone?) and stop a lot of people from dying. What’s the “right” answer? Only you and the Lord can decide that one for you personally. Jesus didn’t say it would be easy to Grow In CHRISTLIKENESS. Not sure? He is our example and He did show us how we are to live and Follow Him. Would Jesus understand if you HAD to pull the trigger? Would you understand if Jesus said, “No murderer…” Can you, “let’em live” and, Be Blessed?
