Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 5009

Daily Devotional.  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:16,20. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. John 10:12-13. A hireling is a man, or today, a woman, whom the Lord has NOT sent to look after His flock in the position of Pastor. This hireling may look the part and even sound like he knows what he’s talking about, until you start looking at his theology very closely. Be careful here, there is a fine line between a woman Teaching other women, and a woman taking on the role of being a “Pastor” over a congregation of men and women. In the Church, the hireling looks and even sounds like he’s a good pastor, but upon closer examination you’ll see he doesn’t call out sin in the church and he won’t protect the flock when a wolf starts moving among the sheep. Satan will always try to disrupt the Peace of the flock and if left unchallenged, he’ll split the church right down the middle. A GOoD Sheppard will discern a wolf even looking at his flock, and deal with it, before most of the congregation even senses a wolf in their midst. As the Pastor deals with any “sin in the camp”, Biblically, he leaves no room for a wolf to even start coming for his sheep. A GOoD Pastor will first deal with “sin in the camp” privately, behind the scenes, but if that Sin persists, he’ll call it out publicly, show the camp what’s wrong and get thst sin out of the camp as the Lord Directs. Even if it gets “messy”, the wolf will be dealt with and the church will Greatly, Be Blessed.
