Daily Devotional. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:16,20. Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Romans 8:35-36. Spiritually, ALL sheep will make it Home with Christ in the Heavenly’s. Physically, we are to take no concern for our own personal safety. A GOoD Preacher will work to equip his sheep in how to go forth as sheep among wolves and share Christ with the masses. Many missionaries have died while in foreign missionary service to the Lord. Many “local” Pastors have also died serving the Lord. Many “Joe Sheep” are persecuted and killed all the day long. Sheep physically dying is nothing new, so no worries, someday you too will die. The GOoD news is that with Godly Preaching and Teaching a sheep may go forth into a dark and dying world sharing the “light” of Christ with those who do, and with those who do not want to hear the Gospel. Live or die, we live in Christ and die VICTORIOUSLY, no matter what kind of hit the body takes. Pray for your Pastor that he will Preach and Teach you to be Wise and Gentle sheep. And ask the Lord to fill you with all the Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding that He has for you, as you are sent forth, AS A SHEEP TO THE SLAUGHTER. No worries or fear, just the Victorious Confidence that no matter how the Lord works out your day, you can always go Home, either way, hearing those most Precious Words, “Well done GOod and faithful servant, enter into the Joy of thy Lord”, whether here on Earth, or forever in the Heavenly’s to FOREVER, Be Blessed.
