Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 5006

Daily Devotional. Pride goeth before DESTRUCTION, and an HAUGHTY spirit before a FALL. Before DESTRUCTION the heart of man is HAUGHTY, and before HONOUR is HUMILITY. Proverbs 16:18, & 18:12. Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, AND THE HAUGHTY SHALL BE HUMBLED. Isaiah 10:33. “Haughty: high, exalted (adjective), high, tall, high (in position), proud, haughty, loftiness”. If a Preacher starts to move towards a Heart with Pride and Haughtiness, the Lord knows just what it will take to “cut him down to size” to free his heart of that Pride and Haughtiness, hopefully before the destruction of the Preacher’s ministry. Pride, Arrogance and Haughtiness are all signs of a sickness in the Heart and if that man is going to keep any “value” to the Lord, that sickness has to go. The Lord will be sure to quietly bring this sickness to the man’s attention with whatever means necessary to get the job done. But if that man continues to keep his Pride, Arrogance and Haughtiness, the Lord has been known to take away all of his ministry so much so that even his family, friends and neighbors will leave him in a piled up heap on the side of the road. If the Lord has to go any further, He may end up calling that person Home, still to Heaven, but in some cases, on to Hell because that person never Knew the Lord as his Lord and Saviour, he just built his “ministry” on Greed and the Love of money, and the Lord won’t tolerate someone trashing the Lord’s Name for anything, especially money. We’ve all seen Preacher’s Ministries go down in flames with some eventually seeing the “error of their ways” and asking Forgiveness from God and man. Once in a while, some semblance of a “ministry” may arise from the ashes, but they seem to be few and far between. Only the Lord Knows the True Heart of a man and what it will take to get him to change his ways, or else he taken out of the way. Ask the Lord about YOUR Heart that you may, Be Blessed.
