Daily Devotional- MORNINGTIME 5003

Daily Devotional. Pride goes before a fall. 1 Eccleserominthians 7:11. (The following is making a mountain out of a mole hill, unless it’s your mole hill and that would make it a mountain. This is also a major exaggeration just to make a point). The above “verse” is NOT found in the Bible. The Bible DOES say, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18.” It’s just a little misquote, and it does make a good point, right”? BUT IT IS A MISQUOTE, and when you first heard the verse quoted correctly, did you immediately try to Learn the True Verse correctly, or just stick with the misquote because it was easier to remember and say? To PURPOSEFULLY misquote the Bible and stay with the misquote CAN start to lead to Pride & Arrogance that shows you just how “correct” you are and how “wrong” everyone else is. Folks, when we “handle” the Word of the Lord, IT HAS TO BE RIGHT, otherwise you may as well be reading out of another “bible” perversion King James had nothing to do with. (Oh, that stings). When a sheep corrects you on a misquote, do you correct it immediately and quote it rightly the next time? OR DOES PRIDE, HAUGHTINESS AND ARROGANCE SAY THAT THEY’RE JUST A SHEEP AND YOU ARE THE PASTOR? Pride is very subtle and sneaky, you MUST stay vigilant at all times and handle the word of God AS IF IT WERE THE WORD OF GOD. Your reputation may be at stake if people see you’ll preach a misquote, AND WILL NOT CHANGE. “If you’ll preach an error here, what else are you preaching in error? Even our beloved Prophet Isaiah saw himself as” undone” when he Saw The Lord in Isaiah 6:5. “Then said I, Woe is me! FOR I AM UNDONE; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: FOR MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, THE LORD OF HOSTS”. It IS that important to get it right as soon as you Know the “Right” Way. (Humility can fix that). Remember, all the above is an exaggeration just to make a point. What do you want to say to, Be Blessed?
