Daily Devotional. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY, which shall be to ALL PEOPLE. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, HAVING PROMISE OF THE LIFE THAT NOW IS, AND OF THAT (Life) WHICH IS TO COME (after you die). This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, WHO IS THE SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN, SPECIALLY OF THOSE THAT BELIEVE. 1 Timothy 4:8-10. This is the Gospel and it doesn’t get any better than this. This is the Lord giving His One and Only Son as a Gift to man, TO ALL MAN, BOTH SAVED AND UNSAVED THROUGH ALL OF HUMAN EXISTENCE, to offer the way out from the bandage of sin. This isn’t just for Christians, this is for ALL man. The Christians are the ones who have accepted God’s offer of Salvation. Israel had heard nothing from God for over 400 years and suddenly and Angel declares Christ has come with Salvation in His Wings, FOR ALL MANKIND, past, present, and future? There can be no better news than that. It’s God’s Best. It’s Good News to hear that “Joe” is going to heaven, but it’s even better, greater, news when someone tells you, YOU are going to heaven. You’re a sinner, you’re going to die and go straight to Hell, and Someone comes along and tells you, “Yes, that’s true, but if you’ll follow Me, I will lead you past Hell and straight into heaven for all eternity”, WHAT MORE COULD YOU POSSIBLY ASK FOR??? If this doesn’t give you GREAT JOY, you’re still a dead man walking. But if you rejoice with this news, you’re either a Christian, or soon will be. Can you believe people actually hear this Good News, the Gospel, and still tell God, “NO I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP, I’LL GET TO HEAVEN MY WAY”, and turn their back on Christ to reject Him forever? BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, AND, BE BLESSED.
