Daily Devotional. Even so hath the Lord ordained that THEY WHICH PREACH THE GOSPEL SHOULD LIVE of THE GOSPEL. For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, WOE IS UNTO ME, IF I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL! 1 Corinthians 9:14, 16. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, WHAT SHALL THE END BE OF THEM THAT OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL OF GOD? 1 Peter 4:17. Gospel: “The glad tidings of the kingdom of God, also the preaching of Jesus Christ as having suffered death on the cross to procure eternal salvation for all men in the kingdom of God”. How is it that most churches believe that they are preaching “the gospel” and that they are going to heaven because of “the gospel” they preach? AND, they believe that they are living “the gospel” that they preach? Let’s answer that with a food analogy. The Lord shows you a table with all manner of good food on it and He tells you to eat ALL of it. The reason to eat it all is that it will make a properly balanced meal that will fully strengthen you for the task ahead. It’s a God Given meal. The trouble starts when you pick and choose what YOU think will be good for you to eat. You eat your choice and you start your task and quickly run out of energy. The task barely got started, and never got finished. We MUST read, and study, and live ALL the Gospel for us to have a Properly Balanced Life In Christ. Anything off balance is not of Christ, He’s not in it, and you run off into the ditch, not finishing the task, (the Race), and never find Christ. WE MUST SEEK AND OBEY ALL OF THE GOSPEL. Anything less, is not the Gospel. To believe SOME of the Gospel, is to believe SOME of Christ. Christ is all, or nothing. The Gospel of Christ is all on His Terms, His Definitions, and His Ways, AND HE DOESN’T CHANGE!!! So don’t try to change Christ, Preach ALL of Him, Preach ALL the Gospel, Feast at His Table, and, Be Blessed.
