Daily Devotional. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, SEEK YE MY FACE; my heart said unto thee, THY FACE, LORD, WILL I SEEK. Psalm 27:7-8. You can learn a lot about someone when you take your time and seriously study their face, watch their eyes, and watch what they say and their expressions when they say it. A girl studying her boyfriend’s face will tell her a lot about him. Police interrogators can quickly spot a man lying by watching his face. Jesus says to “Seek My Face”, because He WANTS you to get to know Him, to study Him, even to test Him, because He knows you’re about to hang your whole eternity on just His Words. He wants you to KNOW Who you’re Talking to, Trusting In, and even willing to Follow Him into a Battle that you may not survive. He wants you to Believe Him in Life, and in Death. Yes, Words are good, but to look squarely into the Eyes of Christ when He says those Words, THAT’S where you Know The Truth. If you really want to KNOW the Truth, you go as close to the Source of The Truth as you can get. And NOBODY is easier to find, than Christ Himself. He doesn’t have a front man, body guards, or a look-alike. He’s the Real Deal and you have to KNOW He Is, or it will never work. You have to know His Voice, His Words, His Style, so that if He sends you on a mission, and you’re carrying your Cross, there’s a chance you’re not coming back, alive. Otherwise, don’t seek his face if you’re just playing around, trying to look good to others, or don’t really care if he’s real or not. If you don’t Trust Him, YOU WON’T DIE FOR HIM, and that makes you worthless to Him. It’s ALL, or nothing. He wants 100% of you, or none of you. To Follow Christ will cost you EVERYTHING. To NOT follow Christ will cost you even more. He Loves you with His Whole Heart, can you Love Him back, the same? Go ahead, Love and Seek Christ, when you do, you WILL, Be Blessed.
